A gentle poet of inspirational verse (in the Helen Steiner Rice and Patience Strong tradition), Annette Borrill from East Coast of England, is a name to watch. Like others in the genre, never edgy or ‘in-your-face’, this album will be appealing to a large circle in the older and mid-age range. She is persuaded that all her message poems are the sum of her bygone experiences that have fashioned attitudes, associations and affiliations. All have shaped her art into what it is poetically today. Her conservative, inspirational verses are introspective messages for the quiet end–of-the-day. Annette’s calm, cool and collected poetry wears many hats and plays many roles which she does not take lightly. A naturally gifted lyricist, storyteller, and counselor – all rolled into one – her pulpit is the printed page. As a newcomer, she is admirable and is commended, gilded in the rich organ backdrops of Joan Smith.

I work with the terminally ill and often give several of Annette's verses to clients, they help them come to terms with their illness. Angelic Messages was left by one client in a card for his wife to be read after his death. This helped his wife and gave her courage to bring up their young children |
